Denmark Baseball will host 2025 Nordic Cup

Denmark is set to make history as it hosts the Nordic Cup baseball tournament for the first time on September 20-21, 2025, in Odense. Organized by the Danish National Baseball Program (DNBP) and the Danish Baseball Federation, this event marks not only Denmark’s debut as the host nation for the Nordic Cup but also the first time DNBP has hosted an international baseball tournament.

The competition will feature four U15 national teams—Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland—competing in a round-robin format to determine the Nordic champion. Denmark enters the tournament as the defending champion, having won the 2024 Nordic Cup.

Head Coach Jay Cannon expressed his enthusiasm about the tournament's significance, stating, "Baseball is growing in Denmark, and this not only helps baseball grow further but puts Denmark on the map as a country that is taking baseball seriously."

Baseball has been steadily gaining traction in the Nordic region, and hosting an event of this scale in Denmark is a testament to the sport’s increasing popularity. The local baseball community is thrilled to welcome international teams and showcase the country’s commitment to developing the sport.

In addition to the games, the tournament will feature family-friendly activities, making it an enjoyable event for all ages. Fans can attend the matches in person with free entry or watch live online via streaming services.

Organizers are also calling for volunteers to help make the event a success. Those interested in getting involved can contact the DNBP at DNBP@baseball.dk.

With excitement building and preparations underway, the Nordic Cup promises to be a landmark event for baseball in Denmark and the Nordics.
